Abstract

The importance of Task Technology Fit (TTF) of Learning Management Systems (LMS) has been brought to the forefront due to the world wide move to online teaching and learning. The choice of which LMS to utilize is also of importance as lecturers could use systems managed by their institution such as Blackboard or Moodle or use commercial software available to individual lecturers. We developed a model combining the TTF construct with Consumerization Attituded, Expected Consequences of LMS Use, and Perceived Impact on Learning. Our findings showed that Lecturers at the University of Belize who have used their choice or LMS tend to prefer their choice over the institution's choice of LMS. However students tend to prefer the institutions choice of LMS over the LMS choice of lecturers who use non institutional LMS.
