Abstract
This research proposal investigates the complex relationship between paraphilic disorders and their potential contribution to sex offenses. Recognizing the societal need for a deeper understanding of the etiology of sexual offenses, this study aims to explore how specific paraphilic diagnoses may serve as an underlying factor in criminal sexual behavior. The research will specifically address the problematic assumption that all sex offenders possess a paraphilic disorder, seeking instead to identify and analyze the correlation between diagnosed paraphilia (the independent variable) and the commission of sexual offenses (the dependent variable) within a targeted population. Using a [Insert Methodology, e.g., quantitative survey or qualitative case study] approach, the primary goal is to contribute empirical data that can inform more effective prevention, treatment, and rehabilitative strategies for individuals with these disorders who commit offenses, ultimately seeking to enhance public safety.
